some will replace original parts with cheap copy

@  bill44ca : (19 August 2018 - 01:53 PM)

I too would not waste time repairing a TV or Computer unless it was a very expensive one here. But I don't know MacGuyver

@  Biggles : (19 August 2018 - 11:18 AM)

Yes, I had the same thought but a recommendation helps. Dont think it is a major problem.

@  Kadachiman : (19 August 2018 - 09:46 AM)

I have had 3 different companies take 5 attempts to fix my aircond (leaking gas)...still no luck. This and other items that I needed 'repaired' has led me to the conclusion that the skills are not available to fix anything, so better to throw it away and buy new

@  scuba539 : (19 August 2018 - 08:35 AM)

Saw an ad in the Blue Book for ACT TV Repair shop...09178315689...Never used them but claim to have been in Biz since 1981

@  Biggles : (19 August 2018 - 06:57 AM)

My TV is playing up, any one know a reliable repair place in AC, please. A home visit place would be good, no transport, but somewhere near to downtown AC would be ok as could take it in a trike.

@  bill44ca : (19 August 2018 - 02:19 AM)

@sandman if your computer goes down you should not have to wait 2 days. Second floor of SM has a couple places that will fix it while you wait if they have the part

@  statusquo : (19 August 2018 - 01:05 AM)

@Sandman! Up to you brother, this board is collective

@  grahamuk : (19 August 2018 - 12:55 AM)

:Cool3:

@  Sandman!... : (19 August 2018 - 12:22 AM)

Up 2 the Admin about setting up a section for my pix...It would be interesting..

@grahamuk It was mega-hot from June up until a couple of weeks ago. It had been hitting 35 degrees some days. Hotter than the Philippines!

@  grahamuk : (18 August 2018 - 02:24 PM)

I thought it was supposed to have been the hottest summer on record in the UK. Then again, we know how quickly that can change.:(

@  stew : (18 August 2018 - 12:58 PM)

@polarkat you must be up north, I went to PI in October cameback May not worn a coat since 2017

@  polarkat : (18 August 2018 - 12:51 PM)

I'm back in England for a few weeks for an operation and to think that in mid August i'm going out wearing a jumper and a coat! Can't wait to be back to shorts and tshirts :)

@  grahamuk : (17 August 2018 - 12:58 PM)

Seconded.

@  jeremy1234 : (17 August 2018 - 02:41 AM)

Sandman has plenty of tasteful and wonderful pictures. Professional even. I have seen videos of him at work, the man is meticulous and the final photos look great

@  jeremy1234 : (17 August 2018 - 02:40 AM)

I would guess you from land of kangaroos

Out of bordom and reading it looks like problem you might have if your country let's you leave if you still on 2yr good behavior.

Other thing would be nature of your "crime" but if it a really bad nature doubt you would of got a section 10.

In other words call a lawyer cheaper then a plane ticket just to get denied or returned.

I'm no lawyer, but if your are on a Sect 10 Bond, with no conviction recorded, how would Phils Immigration pick up on you? You would be more likely to be denied exit from Australia ( I'm guessing that as you state a sect 10). But if there are no conditions as you say, I doubt Aus immigration will have you on any lists, and you won't be breaking any bond conditions as you say there are none. Periodic Reporting to the authorities here might be necessary, but if you plan your trip around those dates you should be okay.

If you were on some blacklist issued by Australian authorities to other countries, I would think the crime (sex or drugs) would have made you ineligible for a Sect 10.

I can't recall whether the entry card you have to fill out asks about such things, but if there is no conviction recorded you would be being honest by stating NO.

IMHO

How many people did you kill? If it was between 1 and 4 you're good to go. If it was 5 or more, well, they kind of frown on that.

Yeah any one can have three or four bad days and shoot some one. Five murders is a bit much though :)

All 9As, i.e. tourists, require onward ticket - not just certain countries.
