@bill44ca @kantutero Idk, re Subic... You're right it's not a 24x7 smorgasbord, but it has a mellow sweetness that is not without a special charm for me. I haven't been in a year, maybe because I was seeking the former, but I'd still like to go back to BB again.

@  bill44ca : (25 May 2018 - 01:08 PM)

that was the quote of the month

If you want a large variety of girls, AC; if you want to get the leftovers from a local crew of expats that grab any new talent at the handful of dumpy bars they have in BB, then you'll love Subic (and be hailed as a conquering hero on the other board LOL)

@  Kadachiman : (25 May 2018 - 12:33 PM)

just watched?

@  samthedog : (25 May 2018 - 10:40 AM)

billiard rule that's meant to say

@  samthedog : (25 May 2018 - 10:40 AM)

watched a great big guy really shouting and intimidating a a very small girl in twenty tenty bar baretto last night because she had a different rule to him. she was well pissed and he scared her shitless. bet he feels more like a man now

The new Solo movie is on Terrarium for all u Star Wars people

@  Red Horse : (24 May 2018 - 01:48 PM)

I don’t think the wife & daughter are too high on the mongering trips (to be frank) but I think this one I’m broadcasting. Exactly what is the harm if I buy some upland catfish farm in Thailand? What’s the sense of getting bogged down in one area?

@  Red Horse : (24 May 2018 - 01:42 PM)

Just a trip to BKK/Patts & MNL/AC. Could say I’m visiting ex-military friends. I’m not but on Phils side, I could just say wonder why so many soldiers & sailers retire I’m PI?

@  Red Horse : (24 May 2018 - 01:38 PM)

OMG! Just got the best idea for a huge worldwide windup/advanced 1st tier level trolling on Twitter & Facebook...trip in Asia to al the most sordid places but Gee, I hope I don’t run into the wrong sorts of people!

@  Red Horse : (24 May 2018 - 01:15 PM)

Simple Q. Might be worth a thread. A guy wants or needs to buy some land. Thai or Phils? Willing to shack up/get married. Fish farm, carabao, rice, pineapples, whatever. Where is best?

@  bill44ca : (24 May 2018 - 01:46 AM)

@Kant Handful of Dumpy Bars is funny, perhaps Tee Shirts with that above Subic Pic LOL

@  grahamuk : (23 May 2018 - 10:05 PM)

When she's down to one a day ?

@  JPDIII : (23 May 2018 - 06:23 PM)

After how many men being serviced is a girl labeled a "leftover". I don't go to AC looking for a cherry girl !

@  kantutero : (23 May 2018 - 05:23 PM)

@  bkk7 : (23 May 2018 - 08:27 AM)

i'm guessing then Manila/QC/Makati isn't worth it at all? BKK to PP tonight then 2 more days. can't wait!

@  stew : (23 May 2018 - 08:03 AM)

Subic retirement home for mongers

@  bill44ca : (23 May 2018 - 07:08 AM)

I agree AC hands down over Subic. If you had a couple months in AC or even a month then you might want 2 nights in Subic

@  bkk7 : (23 May 2018 - 05:57 AM)

thanks for the advice! trying to PM someone bc i just bought the discount card but am forbidden from viewing profiles or PMing

@  Kadachiman : (23 May 2018 - 05:56 AM)

you can read some trip reports on here about AC vs Subic vs other places.....and I think you will conclude that AC is the perfect destination for a 5 day trip

Hello fellow PA members.  I am looking to return to PH sometime in feb/march.  Last time i stay about 10 nights and stayed in Manila/Alabang.  While I did enjoy the city life of Manila I do not want to visit the same exact same place.  I plan on staying somewhere around 10-15days this trip.  My first thought was cebu but  I have been reading that Cebu is not worth that much time?

I am not too worried about mongering or finding a female there.  That is already covered.   ;)   I am looking for some feedback from the guys that have been there and traveled out around the islands.  I would like to kind of do the tourist(y) thing.  I am wanting to stay near a nice beach without having the big resort price.  Was thinking of something like El nido or something like?

I was there in November and stayed a week in Boracay. It is nice because you have slow quiet parts on the beach and very busy parts as well. If you don't need to stay right on the beach you can get a nice cheap hotel a short walk away. Plenty of activities for fee or you can just enjoy the beach. There are plenty of places to eat, drink and dance. I also spent a weekend in Subic. The beaches are not as nice but still a decent place if you like the gogo bars but still want to be near the beach. Another option is Puerta Galera which is a scaled down version of Boracay. Again, the beach is not as nice but an enjoyable time, plenty of places to eat and some gogo bars if you want that. I have not been to Palawan yet but have heard some good reports.

El nido is real nice with alot of fine beaches and islands that you can easily get to. If you dive or snorkel its really a Beautiful place for it. Going to el nido for 10 Days myself late february early march to dive.

Thanks for the info.  Diving/snorkeling is something I would love to do, among other things.

I could and have google things to do there and get all kinds of good/bad info.  And everyone trying to sell me their package.  From what I have seen from my "google" searches there is so much to do but the traveling there is so bad. I hated traveling while there.  I could spend days just getting to where I want to go.  I am just looking for some first hand info of where people have been what they liked about it.

I'm not usually they type to just "wing it".  I typically like to have a full plan of what I will be doing before I go.  Maybe that is why I stress planning a vacation so much.

Hey buddy welcome to Philippines Addicts and hope your trip is most illuminating. Always best to plan your vacation as much as possible even though you might get sidetracked by a "distraction".

Have a safe trip and be sure to tell us all how it goes.

El Nido is really nice and relatively pristine but not much a night life, really quite undeveloped and 5 or 6 hours from PP. Puerto Princess could be a good compromise but lack nice beachfront hotels save a few high priced ones.

You may try Cebu. Bohol is 2 hr ferry away and Mactan have some cheap resorts if you don't stay right on beach. There are better beaches like Marboal down south. Many activities like waterfall, Oslob Beach and whale watching. Cebu is a much nicer city than Manila and has many city night life activities. Feb would be just right after Sinulog so you would avoid the overcrowded festivities.

Palawan and Boracay are cheap 40 min to 1 hr flight from Cebu. I know you don't like to travel, but there really isn't a perfect all in one place in PI. Always some compromise.

Davao can also be enticing, tho, it's much tamer than Cebu.

Listen to Darkacre.....I have been to neither, but El Nido and Bohol according to others seem to be much more pristine and way less crowded than Boracay. Look up on Trip Advisor, look at the hotels and read the reviews. Should give you a basic idea.
