When I asked a pro if she was going to watch the Pope who was speaking at a stadium 10 minutes away she said 'No he will not put food on our table'

@  trader : (19 March 2018 - 04:46 PM)

I think us men are taken advantage of by exploiting our weakness lol. So we are the ones being tortured by all that yummyness around us.

@  Red Horse : (19 March 2018 - 04:43 PM)

The Pope condemns prostitution as “Torture & explotation of women & a crime against humanity.”

@  Red Horse : (19 March 2018 - 04:36 PM)

The Pope just called out mongers saying that those who frequent prostitutes are criminals. Seems like we had a good thing going on. Darn.

Google can have what ever info they want about me... apart from banking. They're damned useful, and paranoia can be stressful, and thus life-shortening.

@  Evilfriar : (18 March 2018 - 09:09 PM)

Yes, shame on them, they should be a free service employing volunteers.

@  BatGuano : (18 March 2018 - 03:02 PM)

Google isn't your friend. They collect information about you to make money for themselves.

@  jmonroe : (18 March 2018 - 08:12 AM)

Google is wonderful, although, sometimes you have to Google the information Google displays to see if it's correct. lol

@  testickle : (18 March 2018 - 07:15 AM)

isn't Google wonderful for info...

@  lazybugger : (17 March 2018 - 05:51 PM)

Mel is Austrian

@  JerryK52 : (17 March 2018 - 02:51 PM)

Mel Gibson has dual citizenship - USA & Irish. His mother was born in Ireland. Had extended family in Australia - paternal grandmother's family. Military draft avoidance for older brother is said to contribute to family's move to Australia.

@  Lobstered : (17 March 2018 - 12:13 PM)

I always thought he was Australian until I got it wrong in a pub quiz

@  grahamuk : (17 March 2018 - 10:21 AM)

I think the other reason is ease. That's why the best deals show up on booking sites instead of over the counter in many places. Place I'm at now they take off a couple hundred pesos, from 1500 list price per night, if you pay cash and book at least a week direct... whereas on agodo, 780 per night, even with taxes and fees added back in, that's still less than the cash and long stay rate.

This ad is here because Agoda has changed their policies on hotel bookings regarding affiliates. Agoda is now completely deleting the 365 day cookie along with removing any subsequent
bookings brought though your bookings. Philippines Addicts used to get credit for this along with anybody booking through Agoda 365 days after they initially clicked on our link. With this said, we ask you click on any of these Agoda links when making a booking through Agoda so we can get credit for your booking. It costs you nothing and helps us out a lot. We appreciate your understanding to this truly unfortunately fact. Please click on these Agoda links to help Philippines Addicts get credit where it is due, thanks! Book your Philippines Hotel Here and Now! . We have also added Bookings.com as an affiliate and another choice for you guys to get the best possible deal on booking hotel rooms. Again, this costs you nothing. We ask that you please use the Booking.com links found throughout this site so we can get credit for your hotel booking. It's best to try both websites to get the best possible deal. Please use the links provided on this site, thanks!

If you already booked your rooms and/or you don't use Agoda or Bookings.com we'd appreciate it if you could
for board administration, expenses and improvements if you find this site useful to your needs.

Isn't the main reason to book through Agoda because they give a kickback to this site?

Have used Agoda successfully for many years in Asia and Europe, but had a bad experience with them a couple of years ago when the hotel that we booked in Phuket was full when we arrived. The check in clerk claimed no knowledge of the booking, but after waiting over an hour the manager arrived and admitted they had over booked and offered us an alternative hotel down the road. Turned out to be a serviced apartment with no pool and no breakfast. Not happy, but what can you do at 8pm?

Complained to Agoda after we returned, but never got a satisfactory response, let alone any refund.

I like to use expedia. It's best if you get some sort of rewards. So I'll usually stick to one to accumulate those rewards.
Just for instance. Last week I priced Penthouse hotel. On their website the residential price was like $100. On expedia I believe 72. On Agoda it's 66. So you just have to shop around. That's my experiences at least. I have noticed ABC is never discounted on those sites.

Every time I've booked with Agoda they've emailed me a PDF copy of a voucher which you can print out and present to the hotel as proof of booking. Did you receive one of those?

So I'm already booked for my next trip but I still look on Agoda to see what's what from time to time.
Same dates, same hotel but now with "massive price reduction of 43%" and guess what ? Same price I paid lol.
Do all of the booking sites go in for this bullshit ? It reminds me of back home in the UK, 365 day a yr sales in furniture shops.

I've used Agoda a few times in Manila around the LA cafe area its worked quite well however your right the sales are generally bullshit.. sometimes I have been able to book via Agoda when the hotel staff mentioned in person (at hotel lobby) they were booked out I mentioned to the reception staff at front desk that Agoda is stating there are rooms availiable at your hotel? she said yes you can book a room through that site and room will be availiable? Anyway room was booked and no problem
Also at some hotels the walk up rate which can often be negotiated is sometimes cheaper than the Agoda booking rate it depends and varies on the hotel times etc but the Agoda site is great for mapping hotels in the area when your on the move
