I should have included the word "much" before more as that is indeed the case. My bad.

@  richie155 : (09 July 2018 - 02:09 PM)

Thanks. Sounds very affordable though, I would've guessed they'd make much more if they actually would put their life on the line...

@  statusquo : (09 July 2018 - 01:05 PM)

Around 700 to 1000 a day depending on the protection you are looking for. More for experienced influential ones. This normally, in addition, includes food and at times lodging. This needs to be made clear. You can hire just an on-call driver who watches your back for about 500 plus expenses and gas.

how much salary do bodyguards get in the Philippines? the ones who stay loyal and won't kidnap you themselves?

Hi! Can anyone recommend a good restaurant in Tagaytay. My cousins will be having a trip there and it's their first time to tour the place. I wanted to make sure that they'll enjoy everything in Tagaytay but I'm not sure of my suggestions.

There's another recent post re restaurants in Tagaytay that has several good selections. The best place I went to was Greens ATS Tagaytay. It's on the main highway there. I went there for lunch with three lovely pinay friends, my pinoy friend and their little boy and we had a great time. Very good food at reasonable prices had to pay CASH though. Had the bulolu (sp) the beef soup which Tagaytay is known for and some BBQ. Had a fresh fruit platter with the watermelon, mango, etc. Awesome views of the Ta'al volcano there too. Highly recommended. Fond memories of that trip :)

Google is my friend. I recommend Josephine. Go early and great views of Taal through the huge windows.

There are loads of restaurants along the highway with views of Taal. Many with out door seating. If going at night or on a cloudy/rainy day might want to wear long pants and a jacket. It gets cool there.

Some pictures taken by the girls at Josepine.

Views looking down on Taal. Don't know where these are from. Got to be a restaurant though as all that land with views is taken and is high price real estate.

Along Calamba road there are numerous places. Many in "One Destination" and "Cliff House". From like Teriyaki boy, Densios, Yellow Cab, to much nicer places and most all with outside seating and a view.

Some Filipino friends of mine (who have more money than I will ever see) always recommend Antonio's in Tagaytay.

You have to make a reservation in advance, and they will not accept walk-in guests. Also there is a dress code. Casual, but not beach wear.

The Miele guide is a guide book of Asian restaurants where they rank the top 20 Asian restaurants annually ( in their opinion ). Antonio's consistently makes that list and has been the only Philippine restaurant to make it.
