@  trader : (19 March 2018 - 04:46 PM)

I think us men are taken advantage of by exploiting our weakness lol. So we are the ones being tortured by all that yummyness around us.

@  Red Horse : (19 March 2018 - 04:43 PM)

The Pope condemns prostitution as “Torture & explotation of women & a crime against humanity.”

@  Red Horse : (19 March 2018 - 04:36 PM)

The Pope just called out mongers saying that those who frequent prostitutes are criminals. Seems like we had a good thing going on. Darn.

Google can have what ever info they want about me... apart from banking. They're damned useful, and paranoia can be stressful, and thus life-shortening.

@  Evilfriar : (18 March 2018 - 09:09 PM)

Yes, shame on them, they should be a free service employing volunteers.

@  BatGuano : (18 March 2018 - 03:02 PM)

Google isn't your friend. They collect information about you to make money for themselves.

@  jmonroe : (18 March 2018 - 08:12 AM)

Google is wonderful, although, sometimes you have to Google the information Google displays to see if it's correct. lol

@  testickle : (18 March 2018 - 07:15 AM)

Mel Gibson has dual citizenship - USA & Irish. His mother was born in Ireland. Had extended family in Australia - paternal grandmother's family. Military draft avoidance for older brother is said to contribute to family's move to Australia.

@  Lobstered : (17 March 2018 - 12:13 PM)

Have any of the members stayed at the Go hotels Chain ?  As I understand, there are seven hotels in the chain, There are Two in Manila City, One in Bacolod which is in the north side of town. , one in Dumaguete along the seafront, two in Palawan, and one in Tacloban which has recently re opened. The hotel Chain's developers hope to have 30 properties in their chain in the near future !

Right now if you go to Google Maps, and put Go hotels Bacolod for instance, you come up with the site, the address, some reveiws and also get an idea of what is around you ( does not say if there are roosters in the vicinity ).

They have a Facebook site which you can connect to, and they do bookings on line, some of their promos start at 588 pesos for the night if you are lucky enough to get them !

I suggested  to them, that instead of promoting seven for seven as in seven hotels, they should look at some sort of a Go hotel Gold Card,  so that they can keep track of the bookings through their own club members. they could even give us points for an accumulated hotel stay either in one hotel or the group !

Then I thought well what about the PI Addicts could the vboard members negotiate a standard price across all the Go hotels in the Philippines ? Well Mods,  what do you think ?

In the meantime, has anyone stayed at a Go hotels property ( which by the way are owned by Robinson's the Mall Developers )

How much did you pay ?  Did you get a room rate reduction on asking ?  or just and initial cheap price ?  How many nights did you stay  ? and were you happy with the rooms and the service ?  I know some of you worry about security, so what was that like ?

If you have stayed, please give as much detail as you can.

This ad is here because Agoda has changed their policies on hotel bookings regarding affiliates. Agoda is now completely deleting the 365 day cookie along with removing any subsequent
bookings brought though your bookings. Philippines Addicts used to get credit for this along with anybody booking through Agoda 365 days after they initially clicked on our link. With this said, we ask you click on any of these Agoda links when making a booking through Agoda so we can get credit for your booking. It costs you nothing and helps us out a lot. We appreciate your understanding to this truly unfortunately fact. Please click on these Agoda links to help Philippines Addicts get credit where it is due, thanks! Book your Philippines Hotel Here and Now! . We have also added Bookings.com as an affiliate and another choice for you guys to get the best possible deal on booking hotel rooms. Again, this costs you nothing. We ask that you please use the Booking.com links found throughout this site so we can get credit for your hotel booking. It's best to try both websites to get the best possible deal. Please use the links provided on this site, thanks!

If you already booked your rooms and/or you don't use Agoda or Bookings.com we'd appreciate it if you could
for board administration, expenses and improvements if you find this site useful to your needs.

Hey buddy I remember meeting you a couple times in Angeles cheers on that and hope all is well with you. I also seem to recall somebody mentioning the Go hotels and yes, here it it - http://www.philippin...manila-review/

You may want to send that BM a PM who started the thread to get some additional information if needed. We would entertain any such offerings to board members if they would be willing to. Seems they have a Sogo type hotel theme going on there. At any rate, please be sure to let us know what you find out.

Here's the Facebook page you are talking about for others if they are interest - https://www.facebook.com/gohotels.ph and there website is here - http://www.gohotels.ph/

Ive stayed at two of them.  The one in Tacloban and the one at Cybergate in Manila.  They are good value if you book the specials.  I found the one to be better value in Tacloban as there are limited hotel options there and the Gohotel there had flat screens, quite modern interior and nicely connected to Robinsons.

The one at Cybergate was OK.  Again good value if you get the specials which means the earlier you book the better the price.  Prices escalate quite rapidly the closer to your check in date.  Without the specials around 2000p+ which in Manila I know a number of hotels offering much better value for 1350p or so.

Gohotels are the Filipino version of Tune hotel but Go includes TV/AC/Internet into the prices.

I stayed in the one in Iloilo a couple times. Once was p899 a night, once was around p1,100 a night.  The p899 was booked with Agoda on the morning I was checking in.  The p1,100 was a walk in price, no reservation.

This one is attached to the Robinson's Mall There is no restaurant in the hotel - but many at the mall.   Odd thing is no food allowed in the room.  There is a p1,000 cleaning fee if they find evidence of you eating in your room.  When I asked if Cokes were ok she told me just don't eat anything that will stain the linens.  Apparently it is a rule meant more for the locals...

But it had an amazing shower and without a doubt the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on!  :)
