@  stew : (19 March 2018 - 04:47 PM)

When I asked a pro if she was going to watch the Pope who was speaking at a stadium 10 minutes away she said 'No he will not put food on our table'

@  trader : (19 March 2018 - 04:46 PM)

I think us men are taken advantage of by exploiting our weakness lol. So we are the ones being tortured by all that yummyness around us.

@  Red Horse : (19 March 2018 - 04:43 PM)

The Pope condemns prostitution as “Torture & explotation of women & a crime against humanity.”

@  Red Horse : (19 March 2018 - 04:36 PM)

The Pope just called out mongers saying that those who frequent prostitutes are criminals. Seems like we had a good thing going on. Darn.

@  Mentalist : (19 March 2018 - 02:19 AM)

Google can have what ever info they want about me... apart from banking. They're damned useful, and paranoia can be stressful, and thus life-shortening.

@  Evilfriar : (18 March 2018 - 09:09 PM)

Yes, shame on them, they should be a free service employing volunteers.

@  BatGuano : (18 March 2018 - 03:02 PM)

Google isn't your friend. They collect information about you to make money for themselves.

@  jmonroe : (18 March 2018 - 08:12 AM)

Google is wonderful, although, sometimes you have to Google the information Google displays to see if it's correct. lol

@  testickle : (18 March 2018 - 07:15 AM)

isn't Google wonderful for info...

@  lazybugger : (17 March 2018 - 05:51 PM)

Mell Gibson was born in Peekskill, New York, January 03th 1956 He moved with his parents to Sydney, Australia, when he was 12 years old.

Mel is Austrian

@  JerryK52 : (17 March 2018 - 02:51 PM)

Mel Gibson has dual citizenship - USA & Irish. His mother was born in Ireland. Had extended family in Australia - paternal grandmother's family. Military draft avoidance for older brother is said to contribute to family's move to Australia.

@  Lobstered : (17 March 2018 - 12:13 PM)

I always thought he was Australian until I got it wrong in a pub quiz

Speaking of lines, I walked past the only Jollibee in Singapore located in Lucky Plaza at 2pm one time. There were at least 50 people in line and the dining room was completely full of actual diners and it wasn't even Saturday.
If you have the money to open a Jollibee in Singapore guaranteed you will make many pesos.

Army Navy food? Cripes! I tried once at Terminal 3 and it was so friggin' horrible, I had to throw it in the trash! I like Taco Bell, but Army-Navy was worse than 7-11 Mexican food...

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with the place either.  Then again, I used to live on the Texas-Mexico border, in a city that was 85% Latino.   Not to mention I had a Mexican wife at one time.

They have a version of Philly cheese steak that is edible. Their tortilla soup is freakin horrendous though.

We got one here in Iloilo. The quesadillas were ok, the burger pretty much sucked. Burger King was better... that is sad.  I found Army Navy to be overpriced and the food was mediocre at best.  The only time I eat there is if another expat wants to go, but most of my friends feel the same as I do about them. Some of the Europeans like it, but most of my American friends do not.

Had the crispy fried chicken sandwich at naia3 Army Navy.

Oily chicken, rather tasteless sandwich.

Will not try again.

I used to quite like Army Navy Burgers when they first opened, but they've certainly gone down a long way since then.

Army Navy is one of the few restaurants that I had to walk out of without finishing my meal. The burrito was horrible. My girlfriend (non-filipina) also said it was like eating cardboard.
