@  statusquo : (09 July 2018 - 02:19 PM)

I should have included the word "much" before more as that is indeed the case. My bad.

@  richie155 : (09 July 2018 - 02:09 PM)

Thanks. Sounds very affordable though, I would've guessed they'd make much more if they actually would put their life on the line...

@  statusquo : (09 July 2018 - 01:05 PM)

Around 700 to 1000 a day depending on the protection you are looking for. More for experienced influential ones. This normally, in addition, includes food and at times lodging. This needs to be made clear. You can hire just an on-call driver who watches your back for about 500 plus expenses and gas.

@  richie155 : (08 July 2018 - 04:03 PM)

how much salary do bodyguards get in the Philippines? the ones who stay loyal and won't kidnap you themselves?

Effectively Using The Philippines Addicts Newsfeed

It seems many people are either unaware of the Philippines Addicts Newsfeed feature on this forum. It's filled with many useful tabs of information on board activity which is rather extensive and could be used instead of the highly popular "View New Content"

Here's a screenshot of the where to find it on the top menu tab pictured below:

The newsfeed gives you a complete activity breakdown of many things "View New Content" does not show. It also allows you to track other board member's activities as well as your friends' activities much like Facebook does. The Newsfeed includes the following information which cannot be filtered

View All Activity In The Last 2 Hours
View Blog Comments Only

View Friend Making Activity

View Image Comments From The Photo Gallery
View New Albums Added To The Gallery
View New Images Added To The Gallery

View New Posts In The Forum
View New Topics In The Forum

View New Profile Comments
View New Profile Photos
View New Profile Updates

View New Member Registrations
View New Reputation Given
View New Signatures of Board Members
View New Board Member Status Comments
View New Board Member Status Updates

As you can see by the list of activities it's quite extensive and could give some board members a better perspective on this forum's activity. The newsfeed pretty much covers everything and some content may not be viewable by newer members without advanced status. Please read on how to be upgraded here

Here are some screenshots of the Newsfeed and please have a look at it and see if it makes things easier for you.

This ad is here because Agoda has changed their policies on hotel bookings regarding affiliates. Agoda is now completely deleting the 365 day cookie along with removing any subsequent
bookings brought though your bookings. Philippines Addicts used to get credit for this along with anybody booking through Agoda 365 days after they initially clicked on our link. With this said, we ask you click on any of these Agoda links when making a booking through Agoda so we can get credit for your booking. It costs you nothing and helps us out a lot. We appreciate your understanding to this truly unfortunately fact. Please click on these Agoda links to help Philippines Addicts get credit where it is due, thanks! Book your Philippines Hotel Here and Now! . We have also added Bookings.com as an affiliate and another choice for you guys to get the best possible deal on booking hotel rooms. Again, this costs you nothing. We ask that you please use the Booking.com links found throughout this site so we can get credit for your hotel booking. It's best to try both websites to get the best possible deal. Please use the links provided on this site, thanks!

If you already booked your rooms and/or you don't use Agoda or Bookings.com we'd appreciate it if you could
for board administration, expenses and improvements if you find this site useful to your needs.

Had to search a little...the newsfeed link was buried under "more" in the main menu tab.

Can a user rearrange that menu or make it two lines deep?

Very observant of you as I looked at the stats and noticed a few people a day using it but not as many as I hoped thus this thread. Just another option is all but a useful one.

Thanks for pointing that out. Depending on your screen resolution setting, the Newsfeed is on the far right "MORE" drop-down. I know this as it has the more drop down in the admin section for the preview. I know it sucks but the only thing we could do here is to remove "Book Room!" on the far left and see if that's enough to tweak the menu into submission. A user cannot do that as it's a global admin setting.

Believe it or not, the back end for making custom skins like changing colors, adding bells, graphics and whistles is very extensive but not nearly as easy as say, Wordpress.

It's a very old CMS interface probably dating back about 12 years or so but with some improvements. Much like Joomla when that first came out. It was a nightmare to install. Somewhat of a learning curve to use.
