JC, owner of The the station formerly Margaritaville is a good citizen and great guy; of course his place will enforce the law, which comes into effect in 10 minutes. Tick tock tick tock

No we like girls but not smoke. Bobby can you tell more about the maggots smoke notice? Is it all over inside or are they trying to modify the law their way

@  Clarky07 : (22 July 2017 - 06:28 AM)

Next we'll start emailing the mayor about all this illegal prostitution going on...

@  bobbydown : (22 July 2017 - 05:20 AM)

Paper and a Pen are Free and private to print a note to police if a business is not obeying the law. The Mayor and Councils and law makers all have email and can be emailed from dummy accounts

@  doctor who : (22 July 2017 - 04:56 AM)

@ Kant, yes you are correct , last night when it was fist reports it was reported the Ambush was on Cebu island , today its on negros , i stand corrected. I dont give a toss about the smoking ban ,,

Did anyone else see that DU30 called the u.s. a "Lousy country"?

@  kantutero : (22 July 2017 - 04:42 AM)

remote Negros and Mindanao are not the same as Cebu. I', MUCH more worried about second hand smoke than being kidnapped or shot by the NPAS. BRING DOWN THE HAMMER TOMORROW! A day taht will live in infamy

@  hbk30075 : (22 July 2017 - 03:27 AM)

I have read the order -- read it the day it was signed because I was curious how one man can implement something so broad that carries the force of law without any congressional involvement, but I digress. The scope of the order extends well beyond businesses (see the definition of 'public place' in the order). Regardless of details, in a country where "don't get involved" might as well be the official motto, thinking that you can be some holy crusader without drawing attention to yourself and having it bite you in the ass eventually, seems to be rather naive. That's not a personal attack...it's 100% within the normal advice on this board, which is essentially do your thing but don't draw unnecessary attention to yourself and certainly don't be getting the law involved cuz things just work differently there. Just my 2 pesos....

@  bill44ca : (22 July 2017 - 02:19 AM)

why would you care if bargirls or trike driver smoke or perhaps trolls? Businesses are responsible to ban smoking not bargirls or trike drivers. Perhaps read the Presidents order before making uninformed comments

@  hbk30075 : (22 July 2017 - 02:14 AM)

@bill44ca who exactly do you plan to be reporting? Foreigners? Locals? Bargirls? Trike Drivers? At least 3 of the 4 probably won't be beneficial to YOUR health if you pick the wrong person to piss off. Just sayin'....

Anyone have any experience with going on a tour to various places around Luzon?  One place I'm wanting to go is to see Mount Pinatbuo up close. A quick google search shows two agencies/companies that do a tour up there but there is a big gap between the two in price (Php 2299/person or Php 11300/person).  Wondering if anyone's taken a tour up there or any other neat tours that aren't to far from AC?

The two places I found are

http://pinatubotours.blogspot.com/

http://www.trekkingpinatubo.com

My time in living in the Philippines was very restrictive, we were locked down to the Angeles Area or just certain areas of Angeles at times.

I'm also looking at things to do there besides mongering because I might have my daughter with me some of the time, if I have to take her. Figure get non-mongering stuff done during the day and pawn her off on her mom's side of the family at night so I can barhop.

Capas ATV tour does the Mt Pinatubo tour also. However, trying to talk to them on Facebook is almost impossible.

Just wanted directions to get to their place of business in Capas and all I got was be there by 6 a.m. so I never booked

the tour with them. I would have loved to do it and if you can figure it out let me know because it looks like a lot of

fun.

Cheers!

Now the Subic idea sounds like fun.  I'm sure my daughter has cousins her age there to tag along.

Thanks.

I'm wondering if the Zoo is in the same place that the old Subic Weapons Storage facility? Had a not so pleasant run in with Monkey's there in 1991

Interesting...I might see some of the ex in-laws can find out info on it.  My daughter would like the ATV option versus a 2 hour hike, would be neat to do...the hike wouldn't bug me either.

I found another tour agency when looking at something on Google maps

I did the tour and signed up at the desk at the Pacific Breeze hotel. What I found was that the price is based on 4 people going. The first to sign up got the huge price and each additional lowered it. Basicily ( or close to) 12000 for 1, 6000 each for 2, 4000 each for 3 and 3000 each for 4. I got lucky and got on a tour where 3 people had signed up already so was cnarged the 4 person rate. I askd th eothers what they paid and it was higher for the third and even more for the first two.

I also lucked out going on a cool day with light rain..sun came out just as we got to the parking area, made for a cool walk. On a hot day, water is a must. Also, they make you have a guide and NO swimming in the crater. Being the clutz that I am, I waded in and managed to "fall" in.

I was wondering about that. Most likely it will be two of us.  So they let you wade in at least?  Sucks that the swimming ban is there.  What time of year did you go?

Nice!!!

A trip there & a maybe a trip to the Subic Zoo is probably the only stuff I'll do with my daughter if she goes. She will want to shop...but if you've seen one mall you've seen them all.

Night time or when she's with her Mom's family I'll have to keep my head on a swivel and monger without running into them. I'll hear crap from my daughter If she see's me with anyone way too young for me :/
