Because human-rights groups have agenda's it's that simple, and they don't get any mileage from the Marawi incident.

@  BGC Dude : (25 May 2017 - 01:12 AM)

@  Budhah : (24 May 2017 - 07:51 PM)

Just announced on Fox news that the Martial law may go nation wide, because of Isis killing in the South. Fear of it spreading to rest of the PI.

@  doctor who : (24 May 2017 - 06:36 AM)

Martial Law, stopped me in my tracks last night,, travelling between Mati, and Davao , at 9pm stopped at a road side Army inspection setup, everybody off the bus, walk through the inspection area then back on the bus, only to get stuck behind a military convoy,,

@  willie50 : (24 May 2017 - 05:41 AM)

martial law has not affected san Francisco and prosperidad on Mindanao at this moment. usually a lot of soldiers n check points

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:58 PM)

@FurryFriend Start a topic and stop crowding the Shoutbox if you are going to go on about it.

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:57 PM)

@FurryFriend So you have experienced Martial law have you? Well I have and I tell you it is slightly inconvenient but not to the stage you wouldn't go there. FFS you love a troll or two don't you.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:48 PM)

http://www.rappler.com/nation/170754-davao-city-lockdown-marawi-attack Davao City mayor "urged visitors to cancel their trips to Davao unless [its] very important...[and] said that if they don't want to be thoroughly inspected in multiple checkpoints, they should not come..." That doesn't sound like a rocking fun place for a week-long mongering trip.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:20 PM)

Martial law means so much more than a curfew. It's about having mobility restricted, roads closed, stores closed, flights cancelled, and possible loss of conveniences like cellphone, ATM or internet services. These are all hinderences to mongering. If there was martial law in Pampanga, you can bet AC bars will all be closed. Furthermore, martial law grants the military ability to perform civilian law enforcement. It will not be a fun moment in the Philippines when soldiers with very powerful weapons stops you, asks you questions, then demands to frisk you.

That sounds like the correct entrance. It isn't very inviting and you can easily miss it, especially when it's dark.

Google's placemark is on the wrong side of the street. As you walk down Dona Carmen Cathouse is on the right hand side, behind Stardust.

I have personally verified every placemark I added to my map, and I'm fairly confident every one is in the correct place.

Ah, sorry about that - the street view just had me turned around. You're quite correct - it's Google's marker that is in the wrong place.

And looking down that side street from Kalayaan, there's actually a much larger, vertically-oriented Cathouse sign facing that street.

Reminds me of New York City prices and the reason I don't like Manila and big cities.  I prefer Pattaya over Bangkok and AC over Manila.  Not a concrete jungle kind of guys with pollution and massive traffic.

No pollution or traffic in AC.

On our return visit to Filling Station tonight (Thursday), we went with classic frozen margaritas for our drinks, the El Dorado Seafood Platter for my partner, and the Chicken Mango Panini for myself:

FillingStationDrinksClassicFrozenMargarita
FillingStationFoodElDoradoSeafoodPlatter

As usual, Filling Station was tasty and convenient for a visit to Burgos.

Our total bill was 1,322 pesos, which did not include a service charge:

And it looks like Filling Station is still open 24 hours a day.

Still recommended.

as i said , my experience was a couple yrs ago....

it was for sure the filling station upstairs...as i ate there many times.

this particular evening i was very drunk and with 2 pretty gals , who ordered the most expensive things on menu also.

management on night duty knew the girls and analyzed the situation and scammed me.

I know and knew it was BS , but what could i do ? my cock was thinking for me at that point and just wanted to get outta there and start playing....so i payed.

I would like to go back one day when the owner is there and tell what happened .....i,m sure i,m not the only one who has been scammed with this BS....

Talaga? I have heard of bars refusing service when a customer can't hold any more liquor, but you actually expect a restaurant to step in and decline your order because you are too drunk?

Too bad you missed out on Bloomberg when he was mayor of New York, eh? He could have kept you from drinking too much soda as well.

I would be insulted if a waiter asked me if I was sure I wanted to order an expensive item on the menu.

If I wanted to live in a nanny state, I would head back to the States.

Please don't bring any of that mentality here, it's supposed to be more fun in the Philippines, thank you very much.

I lived and worked in the PI from 2007-2012 and I probably ate 50+ times at the Filling Station and also have taken many girls there. My favorite is the steak and eggs. If I cared about cost, I would not have been on Burgos :Blush1:

Now you're piling on more bola bola about drinks being double the price for ladies?

Go ahead and ignore me, because I simply don't believe your story. It's not credible.

If the waiter had tried to pull this on me, I would have simply asked for a receipt, then asked to speak to the manager who would have been all to eager to sort it out. If no sorting out was to be had, I would then post a photo of the receipt on this forum.

But I happen to know too many other guys, bar girls, and massage workers who have all eaten at Filling Station, and have never had any of the problems you claim happened there, so combined with the fact that you claim to have paid the bill with no questions asked, makes me disbelieve your story.

And yes, if you were too bewildered to dispute your bill because you had drunk too much, then you indeed cannot hold your liquor.

Eat almost all my meals here when I'm in Makati.  The location is  the main reason, close by my hotel , the food is good and I'm familiar with the menu but will say the prices are to high if I had more time to look around and find better options I would but I never stay long enough to consider doing it.

When I was there they did charge a service fee, check the menu price and then the price you got charged, a service fee is added, but the reciept may not say service fee. If you look in the menu it does tell you a service fee will be charged somewhere, I can tell you without question they charged me a service fee.

I too like the Filling Station, nice and cool . I was told that the kitchen is shared with the Cubano bar in the street ( may have the name wrong) have eaten in both and the food is good.
Get a booth at the back of the restaurant in FS nice and quiet there. Never be in a rush you will only get frustrated.
I second the quality of the milkshakes.
