Narciso is well lit all the way down, very safe street. Cool pools are nice in the summer heat.

YeHaaaa, Parking spots are going fast for $40,, To See What?, Darkness. I Can see it for free just by closing My Eyes

Pools in all of the kandi buildings are shaded most of the day and very cold. Take a trike at night there are drug types along the way

@  Hellboy : (20 August 2017 - 06:17 AM)

I think Kandi is way better than staying in a hotel unless you need to be right on WS

Hi Guys!

@  kantutero : (20 August 2017 - 12:03 AM)

Budhah: they'd be awfully old if they had been alive during the Moro wars and not even Samm is THAT old LOl

@  Budhah : (19 August 2017 - 09:33 PM)

Sorry Kantutero,, But since it was suppose to have happened in the Philippines, I thought that someone living there might actually know more, It was reported back in 1920s by the Chicago Tribune, and floating around in different venues since. With the way the Tribune has been of late, I would trust the old stories more than what they "report" today. I had an uncle fight in the PI And at the battle of Bataan and some of the stories brought back are pretty chilling. Being cruel on both sides was not unusual. BBC seems to have a few tidbits that are very interesting to us, They sure gave MURDOCh a pain when he was caught misbehaving.

@  kantutero : (19 August 2017 - 07:31 PM)

: (20 August 2017 - 03:30 AM) USS Indianopolis Just Located and photographed 18000 below the surface east of Samar. A little deep for wreck diving, but among the most important shipwrecks in Philippine waters. https://news.usni.or...-wreckage-found

@  kantutero : (19 August 2017 - 06:47 PM)

The story about Black Jack Pershing is discredited by all historians. There was a Colonel who buried dead Moros with pigs but the legend about Shooting 49 with bullets dipped in pig blood and telling the 50th to spread the word is not true. http://www.chicagotr...0818-story.html

@  Evel Knievel : (19 August 2017 - 06:26 PM)

99% of the media in the US is so bias the can't even report it with a straight face!

@  kantutero : (19 August 2017 - 06:03 PM)

The Brits are still bitter about incidents from 70 years ago like the King David Hotel Bombing in Jerusalem which then housed the HQ of the British authorities.

@  kantutero : (19 August 2017 - 06:01 PM)

Buddah: I'll refrain from responding to you parrotting the demagogue's blaming the media for all his scandals and confine my respobse to the BBC. If you think it is balanced, read any article about the Israeli Palestinian dispute and you'll quickly realize BBC is just as biased against Israel as Al Manar (Hizbullah's propaganda arm)

@  Budhah : (19 August 2017 - 05:58 PM)

Since it was suppose to have happened in the PI, does anyone know if General Pershing actually used bullets dipped in Pigs Blood to do away with some 50 Religious fanatic trouble makers?? Made the new here last couple of days

@  Budhah : (19 August 2017 - 05:55 PM)

At least BBC has the news, Not too sure what we have in the USA with the MSM< weather it is real news or made up stuff..

@  grahamuk : (19 August 2017 - 02:11 PM)

I do commend the Spanish cop who managed to blow away 4 out of the 5 terrorists yesterday (?). Give that man a fkin medal.

plenty of somalia refs in aust but i cant get into that ,, ill stop the politics here ,, pity though

@  grahamuk : (19 August 2017 - 02:09 PM)

Are you talking about America or Australia ? I'll just continue to watch the BBC news... presented by a Somalian refugee now, rather than a Pakistani one.

I always do ulcer and all. :)  Tonight was a total junk night. I had a girl over last night for room service and tonight I am just hanging home.  I don't go to the bars that often.   I'd be too embarrassed to list what I ate at home tonight.  Almost zero nutritional value.  That's what the gym is for.

Well if you fucked enough girls you would not need a gym.....Hhahahahahaha!

Cheers,

Picture of the Pad Thai does not look very appetizing.  Personally have not ate at Patch's or Siam House so I cannot comment.  Only place we ever order from is Purple Pad Thai that is located just past the bridge near Robinsons off of McArthur when we order delivery.

Their Pad Thai comes in single (P150) and double orders (P220).  Also comes with the peanuts on the side of the container to mix in if you wish. Slice of Lime,  2x Shrimp, Mussels, Squid Rings, and Imitation Crab meat.  I've never ordered the single so can only comment about the toppings on the double.   Ordered from them 5x and only once had to complain about the mussels as they had not removed the beard+(poop) from the mussels and I didn't notice till taking a bite. Blegh.

Chicken Satay isn't phenomenal (too dry) and the peanut sauce is pretty damn good just too sweet for my taste.

Their Fresh Spring Rolls are P60 each and we usually buy a tray of their shrimp fresh spring rolls x10 (P600) which comes with heavy duty aluminum tray that we can wash and re-use for BBQ's, Parties, etc and the sauce that comes with it is kind of "odd". I typically just dip mine in Hoison Sauce that I buy at PureGold that's around P100 a bottle.

The Thai Rice has a smoky taste too if rice is your thing.

The Thai fried chicken is fucking horrible and not worth it nor is their soups.

Thur far these are the only things  I've tried from the place.

Delivery is free as well. Worth a shot to give them a try Salt and see what you think over Siam House.

Here's their Facebook Page.

Really?  You must order quite a bit.  LOL  That place has been gone for 1-2 years.  Purple Phad is ow in SM Mall and their food is pure crap.  One of the few places empty as the other food places are crowded in SM food court, especially the Korean place. I hated this place when it was on MacArthur.

I ordered from them this past Wednesday.  Why would I post a response to a place that doesn't exist anymore? *rolls eyes*  Like I said can't comment on the taste between these other two places. And yes, I'm familiar of the location in SM Clark.

Purple pad Thai is way and I mean better than patcharwan or Siam house pad Thai.

As for them being empty? I queued up with six other people just last week.

The one place on the food court which is quiet is the Turkish place.

Well it came from SM then didn't it?  If not where are they on MacArthur as their oldplace is now a massage place.  I absolutely hate their Thai food.  Had it twice and will never eat it again.

I have walked by the food court twice in the last week.  Purple Phad Thai had not one customer.  The Korean place gets a ton of business.  I ate at the MacArthur one twice and absolutely hated their food.  They tried to new age it.  Reminds me of California and what they try to do with some foods. :)  Like I said, Wanjai was my favorite Thai place in AC but long gone.  I'll stick with Patches and Siam House.  None of the food court places knock my socks off and many of the real SM restaurants are way better..  Someone recommended the food court burger place and it was God awful.

I agree the Korean is the most popular one by far, followed however by purple pad Thai.

I will let others be the judge as to which pad thai is better. Here is a pic of purple pad thai's pad thai. I think 99.9% of people would prefer it over what you are eating as you are just eating noodles with a bit of chicken and little to no taste.

Yes 99% of the world wants flavor and spice and does worry about stomach pain or issues.  Same logic of not drinking because it ruins your stomach.  So What that is part of drinking I am not going to ruin my fun eating bland food or not drinking to avoid pain

It tastes like crap and not like the traditional Phad Thai I am used to.  Where are the noodles the supposed main ingredient?  LOL I could care less what it looks like. Hell pics of Phillies food look good and it tastes like crap. I am in SM Mall at least four days a week and Purple Phad Thai is never that crowded.  That portion looks small as well. Siam House and Patches will remain fine for me over a food court.

I can assure you salt, your pad thai looks absolutely nothing like a traditional pad thai. How long has it been since you were in Thailand?

First you post you were there two times a week and now all of a sudden it's four times a week. Which is it?

And don't worry, the noodles are there. Yes it's a small portion, you can buy two for p300 or do like me and order a healthy papaya salad to go with it.

" Next you'll be saying TR's Thai food is a good as Patches and Siam house.  LOL"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actually you bring up a good point here Salt. The Pad Thai they serve up at Tequila Reef is exactly how you like it, bland and devoid of any spice whatsoever. That's how you like it or have to have it right? I must add that they do have all the proper spices on hand to do it up any way a person wants it. BTW, they have priced it to be very inexpensive so you should give it a go and see what you think!

Purple Phad Thai is certainly not for me. I am in SM Mall minimally two times a week and many weeks way more.  You want me to keep a log?  LOL As we do know each other you better eat more salads and lay off the Phad Thai. :)   If SM Mall was open until 120 PM instead of 9 PM I'd be there even more as I get home from the gym around 9 PM.

Even without the chilis the Patches and Siam House Phad thai is not bland.  Phad thai has a tangy sweetness.  The peanuts give it taste as well.  I would not describe the Patches or Siam House Phad Thai as bland.  I am happy with it and Patches has free home delivery although I do tip the driver.

That's cool, I have always said the only thing that really matters is that the person consuming whatever food is happy with it. It really does not matter what anybody else thinks, except for recommendations and taken as advice. Of course if you have a B&C, you want her to be happy as well. But beyond that it's all just chatter.

You were right and I was wrong about main Purple Phad Thai. I was  wrong. They closed heir location near Robinsons and did open one off the main drag in the Marisol subdivision wherever that is.  Is supposed to be after the bridge at Robinsions but not on the main road.  Open Tuesday to Sunday noon to 9 PM and free delivery with 300 pesos minimum.  Bigger menu than at SM Mall.  Not my cup of  tea forThai as I don't like their spin on Thai dishes and portions are very small. They now have smaller portions (called solo which they did not have before) which make it cheaper than Patches or Siam House but their regular size order is way more expensive than both Patches and Siam.  Regular Phad Thai is 220 pesos and solo is 150 pesos.   They call their regular double. 045 458-0821  0917 500-6091 0943 135-3136

just ordered from Patcharawans

I liked it. It is good Thai food but nothing like thailand. IT does hit the spot.

I had a green curry mild, and papaya salad.  The green curry was passable but felt bland cause i said no spice, but the salad was great. They did deliver without an issue.

Has this placer in the last week got a new cell for delivery?  Also two days about a week ago, they said delivery guy wasn't there.  I had two other friends try to order as well and no reply on their cell phones.  Has their cell number changed in the last week and if so, what is the new number?

If so, then they aren't answering me or my friends who tried to order.  Two others.  Weird. Possibly because I complained in this thread after starting it praising the place?  I also said the problem was fixed in this same thread.  I hope not but I can imagine someone from this board running over there telling them about my post when they messed up.  Since my complaint post was very specific and they deliver to me they would know who I am on this site.  If this is what happened that is why I rarely meet other mongers, introduce myself to bar management or want restaurants to know who I am, especially on the boards.  It always comes back to bite you in the ass, someone outs you  and you can't post objectively if they know who you are.  Sadly, way too many outers and creeps in AC if this is what happened!  I am only guessing.

Thanks.  Then they have cut me off.  I ate takeout tonight at Siam House on the way home.  Luckily Siam House has items Patches does not have that I like with a lot of different stir frys.   The Phad Thai is about equal which is my favorite.  Fried spring rolls are better at Patches and they have fried spare ribs at Patches which Siam House does not have.  Either way it's a toss up but I have to go to Siam House to pick up my food.  So my suspicions were probably right.  Someone mentioned my post to Patches.

Shouldn't be too difficult to find out who it was. And that person is more than likely to tell the girls about posts as well.

Not sure though how patch would know your friend's numbers. But until this has been sorted out, it might pay for anyone wishing to order from patch, not to become friends with salt
