It is certainly girl friedly but I did not enjoy my stay there.
The desk staff wre very unhelpful.
My room was rather run down and I did not like the food.
I would not return.
Unhelpful how? What exactly did you need from the front desk that was a failure? Just curious.
Personally, if they just leave me alone and don't hassle about the room visitors, then they are doing their job well!

Gentlemen: I'm a Thailand vet, but new to the PI. Need some recommendations on Subic hotels, clubs, & bars. Or a good website for that info. Thanks for your help. wj
The biggest game in town is Mo's Subic which owns several bars and a couple of nice hotel (Treasure Island & Kokomo's). The website is http://www.mossubic.com/
The Arizona is nice as well. Hope this helps, cheers!

However, from reading other posts it seems that Arizona's comes alive at other times of the year.

I'm afraid that my review is also negative...however I must mention that I stayed during the rainy season in July and the property was virtually empty...no girls were working in the bar. In fact, no customers in the bar and no activity at the pool. While still slow, my friend was staying at Wild Orchid and there was at least a little activity there. The rooms were average at best...the staff ok, but not friendly...and nothing around once you walk out the property gates. While my first impression of the bars in Subic was not good...I have to admit that my experiences with the girls was good...and I would return again...to Subic(or whatever the name of the town is...Olongo-something)...not to Arizona's.

Yeah, I have also heard the Arizona is rocking at times and I actually know Gavin, the guy that runs it. I declined to stay there the last time opting for Kokomo's instead which I wasn't really impressed with either. The place was pretty much dead as you experienced and the bars were virtually empty. I am sure that is not the case this weekend as they are having a huge pool party at Treasure Island.
Also, I didn't really see that many girls in general and the ones I did see looked OK, nothing to write home to Mom about. I didn't care as I brought my GF. Then again, I was only there for a day so it could have been one of the "off" nights that happen every now and then. I will be going back

I understand it has improved under the new management, and I will probably stay there a night or two in June. Arizona has its own bar (Scores) attached with maybe 10-15 girls.
They used to serve a very good breakfast there.

The bar was good for sports but very small stage and jolly bee or older gals ment it was never busy the times i popped in there, but the bars all seemed very quite down there tales of never been so quite, by local expats we heard, , very good was the hot water all the time was good and hot at Arizona , a big anoyance and let down very negative from my point of view they asked 40 peso per night for an extra pillow thats daft, and a customer might not use the hotel again if that 40 peso a night extra pillow charge nonesense carries on in the future was my thoughts, I will probably not bother staying there next time if its the same petty policy, just my principle, really anoying most folk need two pillows anyway, also no food or drinks apart from whats bought from the hotel can be consumed in your room , well good if Arizona sold everything you might desire to eat or drink but they do not..
I tried the Blue Rock hotel to compare as well, restaraunt seemed busier than Arizonas we noticed the restaraunt was packed out all meal times, food though was about equal I thought either places you cant go wrong for the money and I will look forward`to staying again at the Arizona but please 40 peso a night for an extra pillow come on how silly and petty and anoying for most quests I Imagine is that..
Apart from the two hotels mentioned and both had very good food , in my opinon some of the the best food we found with a huge choice and huge portions was at sit n bull restaraunt locals hang out there a good sign and its very popular after trying it I can see `why ..

\Stayed at Arizona a few times. It was OK, quite noisy early in the morning as families tend to stay there and the kids are racing around about 6am!!!!
I understand it has improved under the new management, and I will probably stay there a night or two in June. Arizona has its own bar (Scores) attached with maybe 10-15 girls.

I would agree breakfasts are still very good, as in fact all the food was very decent ..

Yes of course it is girl friendly.
They have a inhouse bar Scores.
The staff is very helpful.
The food is good.
The accommodation are on par with the rest of the places in the area.
Keep in mind that unless you go to baloy, the barrio area is a little old.
Its not a 5 star or even 4 star hotel, but it isn't bad.
Price is on par with the rest of the area.
Would I stay here again?
It all depends on who I am going with.
It is a good place to hang out, as the Scores bar opens at 2pm.
I like to start drinking around noon, and the rest of the bars don't open ill around 7pm.
So make sure you have plans otherwise you will be waiting for the bars to open.
Would I eat there again?
Yes, the food was great.
