Because human-rights groups have agenda's it's that simple, and they don't get any mileage from the Marawi incident.

Just announced on Fox news that the Martial law may go nation wide, because of Isis killing in the South. Fear of it spreading to rest of the PI.

Martial Law, stopped me in my tracks last night,, travelling between Mati, and Davao , at 9pm stopped at a road side Army inspection setup, everybody off the bus, walk through the inspection area then back on the bus, only to get stuck behind a military convoy,,

@  willie50 : (24 May 2017 - 05:41 AM)

martial law has not affected san Francisco and prosperidad on Mindanao at this moment. usually a lot of soldiers n check points

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:58 PM)

@FurryFriend Start a topic and stop crowding the Shoutbox if you are going to go on about it.

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:57 PM)

@FurryFriend So you have experienced Martial law have you? Well I have and I tell you it is slightly inconvenient but not to the stage you wouldn't go there. FFS you love a troll or two don't you.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:48 PM)

http://www.rappler.com/nation/170754-davao-city-lockdown-marawi-attack Davao City mayor "urged visitors to cancel their trips to Davao unless [its] very important...[and] said that if they don't want to be thoroughly inspected in multiple checkpoints, they should not come..." That doesn't sound like a rocking fun place for a week-long mongering trip.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:20 PM)

Martial law means so much more than a curfew. It's about having mobility restricted, roads closed, stores closed, flights cancelled, and possible loss of conveniences like cellphone, ATM or internet services. These are all hinderences to mongering. If there was martial law in Pampanga, you can bet AC bars will all be closed. Furthermore, martial law grants the military ability to perform civilian law enforcement. It will not be a fun moment in the Philippines when soldiers with very powerful weapons stops you, asks you questions, then demands to frisk you.

Hey guys,

Can definitely vouch for Mangrove, was a great stay for my first time in Subic last year.
Booked the executive room which had a great view of the bay from the balcony. Great location, staff were really nice, food was great and had no dramas about going skinny dipping with the girls in the bay with a few beers from the bar fridge. Definitely agree about Wild Orchid having a better setup with the pool and lounge/bar though.

Even if I'm a year late, I'm going to come out in favor of the Arizona.

My travels are as much about scuba diving as about the late-night delights, and the Arizona was just fine for me in both respects. Yes, it's off at the end of the girly-bar "strip" -- it IS the east end of the district -- but there were enough "charmers" in the Score Bar, as well as aboard the floating bar, to satisfy my simple tastes. And the dive shop's boat, a banca with hard decks out to the outriggers, is one of the most convenient, stable and comfortable dive-boats I've seen.

I stayed at the Arizona in late January 2016, as part of my first trip to the Philippines. I had Room 1, a Deluxe room, and aside from the lack of a usable window (the bathroom window looked out into a narrow alley between my room and the Score Bar) it was convenient and comfortable ... a little extra-convenient for me, because it was next door to the dive shop's office! The restaurant was very good, and open 24 hours - there were a couple of times in my first days when I made good use of that, when I lay down for "a nap" after my dive and woke up at 3 AM due to jet-lag!

All in all, they took really good care of me. The staff were pleasant, cheerful and dedicated to the task; the managers were on-scene, affable and most helpful; I was comfortable and well-cared-for. If you're looking for a fine swimming pool, though, you're out of luck - theirs is just barely big enough for a Discover Scuba diver to get his/her head wet on-scuba for the first time, and it's in the middle of the dining room (which seems a little strange to me). I was spending a couple of hours each day diving in the Bay, though, so what use did I have for a swimming pool?

I'm going back next month, looking forward to diving with Kent and his crew again. That's how well I liked it.

Hope this helps....

Means you did stay in a prison cell and all the gurards were friendly to you.

Great priorities for a room selection to spend a seaside vacation.

I don't spend that much time in the room; it's mainly for sleeping, showering, and sex. My priorities are all outside the room.

Seriously great thread about subic guys, ive made a number of notes on your recommendations and will check them out end of April when I get there..

I'm a little baffled about the while ewr thing at subic though... and from what I read on the other posts, its kinda put me off, which is a shame coz I like the idea of a beach even if its not the cleanest...

So please, can someone give me some up to date info about the ewr/barfines?

First of all ive been led to believe that the girls only meet up after work? But they would be exhausted? Dont they do short time?

and secondly, ive been told that the ewr/barfine is around 2800? Slightly higher than the perimeter bars I AC?

So what is a fair price for short time, I pop and done? And whats a fair price for an all nighter?

A rough estimate would be great, if I ask one of the girls without having a clue I know she'll try to inflate it...

Just wanted a rough idea..

Was gonna spend 3 weeks in subic originally, but after reading another thread, I'm staying in AC for the first week and will check out subic in my second week....

Only ever been to subic once before, but brought a take out with me, chilled in the blue rock for a night but never went to any bars as I had take out with me...

Just want a straight forward answer about costs of ewr and how readily available they are? Same as AC or not?

Cheers guys x

An average ewr in Subic would be 2000, less in some bars more in a few.
The maze is negotiable and girls will quote stupid prices to newbies or those they think stupid enough, regulars and tough negotiators get it down lower.
If you're buying drinks for the girls, get numbers and fb they will offer to meet up after or before work (make sure you tell them what you want and full payment n tip is dependent on them delivering).

@jeffjones, cheers for the info mate..

So I take it that all this talk of the the girls only leaving the bars after their shift is over is all nonsense?

And so they do short time too? How much is that roughly?

Bf is bf, short or long. Sometimes you think its Lt and she pulls a runner, sometimes they like u and stay longer.
I've walked in and pulled a girl on a floater at the start of her shift n stayed till the following morning.

Be aware these days most girls want and will only go short time, if you get longtime that's a bonus but regard it as shortime (regardless of negotiations and promises).
For that reason, once you have bf a girl, back to the room, no barhopping or meals and straight to wash n boom boom. If you want to do the date thing do it afterward, if you do it before you could end up forgoing the boom boom.
