If you are heading to AC bring an umbrella, lots of rain. Got an empty block opposite us and so much water I am waiting for the ducks to arrive!

@  statusquo : (17 July 2018 - 03:14 AM)

Appetites and lifestyles are diverse, Bangkok can be cheaper than Pattaya if you know the scene. Even for local Thais, anything in a tourist area like Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai and others is more expensive.

@  Biggles : (17 July 2018 - 03:06 AM)

Your money will most likely go further in Pattaya, hotels and p4p is not as expensive as BKK.

@  samthedog : (16 July 2018 - 09:12 AM)

Seems to be difficult to find an urban destination in SEA with a good air quality

@  richie155 : (12 July 2018 - 04:29 PM)

I red there might be smog sometimes during winter months because of some farmers burning crap

@  Mr.V : (11 July 2018 - 10:08 PM)

I vote for Bangkok befor Pattaya...I filling that the last 90’s girls are more maganda then those you find in Ac and Pattaya

@  Evilfriar : (11 July 2018 - 08:32 PM)

Luk Foo had a decent reputation and decided to bring the family for a treat. The menu is exhaustive and contains numerous Chinese culinary specialties all cooked to order in an open kitchen. It literally took about 15 minutes to peruse the vast menu and we finally decided to try a couple of the house specials like the Dimsum Combination Platter, BBQ Combination Platter, Luk Foo Fried Rice, and a couple other individual items. The preparation of the meal took quite a while, we waited about 30 minutes before the waiter showed up with the Dimsum platter. The rest of the food came out separately and in all took about an hour to complete the service. Sadly, the quality of the meal was lacking in taste and totally cold. We didn't complain as service was slow and I couldn't bear the idea of waiting longer. We probably would have been best off by ordering some of the more simple menu items. We may or may nor try this restaurant again. Located in Mabalacat at Puregold Shopping Plaza.

One of the worst Chinese places in AC.  Big portions and good prices but can you say bland?  Fortune, Shanghai Palace and Dainty are much better.  The locals love Luk Foo. Always crowded.

Not sure how Luk Foo got a decent reputation. but i wouldn't recommend it, both in Angeles, Metro Manila and other branches

Don't know how I missed this thread...

Great place with reasonable pricing, Good Food, and Good service.

Broccoli Beef is great, as is the Sweet & Sour Pork.

I feel ill just looking at the pic's. I don't think I found any good chinese restaurants in AC. you are better off sticking to Korean food, there are some pretty decent ones around.

If you are travelling to Manila, I would recommend Choi Palace in Eastwood (pretty damm good, almost on the same level as a good one in Hong Kong, friendly waiting staff, but a lil pricey)

There is another one in Moa (mall of asia), I can't remember the name (emperor palace?) anyway food is also great, but the last 2 times I was there, the service has let me down. I had to wait 10 mins for boiled rice? and had to request this 3 times? boiled rice? cmon

In my opinion Fortune and Shanghai Palace are way much better.
