Because human-rights groups have agenda's it's that simple, and they don't get any mileage from the Marawi incident.

@  BGC Dude : (25 May 2017 - 01:12 AM)

Just announced on Fox news that the Martial law may go nation wide, because of Isis killing in the South. Fear of it spreading to rest of the PI.

@  doctor who : (24 May 2017 - 06:36 AM)

Martial Law, stopped me in my tracks last night,, travelling between Mati, and Davao , at 9pm stopped at a road side Army inspection setup, everybody off the bus, walk through the inspection area then back on the bus, only to get stuck behind a military convoy,,

@  willie50 : (24 May 2017 - 05:41 AM)

martial law has not affected san Francisco and prosperidad on Mindanao at this moment. usually a lot of soldiers n check points

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:58 PM)

@FurryFriend Start a topic and stop crowding the Shoutbox if you are going to go on about it.

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:57 PM)

@FurryFriend So you have experienced Martial law have you? Well I have and I tell you it is slightly inconvenient but not to the stage you wouldn't go there. FFS you love a troll or two don't you.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:48 PM)

http://www.rappler.com/nation/170754-davao-city-lockdown-marawi-attack Davao City mayor "urged visitors to cancel their trips to Davao unless [its] very important...[and] said that if they don't want to be thoroughly inspected in multiple checkpoints, they should not come..." That doesn't sound like a rocking fun place for a week-long mongering trip.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:20 PM)

Martial law means so much more than a curfew. It's about having mobility restricted, roads closed, stores closed, flights cancelled, and possible loss of conveniences like cellphone, ATM or internet services. These are all hinderences to mongering. If there was martial law in Pampanga, you can bet AC bars will all be closed. Furthermore, martial law grants the military ability to perform civilian law enforcement. It will not be a fun moment in the Philippines when soldiers with very powerful weapons stops you, asks you questions, then demands to frisk you.

Luk Foo had a decent reputation and decided to bring the family for a treat. The menu is exhaustive and contains numerous Chinese culinary specialties all cooked to order in an open kitchen. It literally took about 15 minutes to peruse the vast menu and we finally decided to try a couple of the house specials like the Dimsum Combination Platter, BBQ Combination Platter, Luk Foo Fried Rice, and a couple other individual items. The preparation of the meal took quite a while, we waited about 30 minutes before the waiter showed up with the Dimsum platter. The rest of the food came out separately and in all took about an hour to complete the service. Sadly, the quality of the meal was lacking in taste and totally cold. We didn't complain as service was slow and I couldn't bear the idea of waiting longer. We probably would have been best off by ordering some of the more simple menu items. We may or may nor try this restaurant again. Located in Mabalacat at Puregold Shopping Plaza.

One of the worst Chinese places in AC.  Big portions and good prices but can you say bland?  Fortune, Shanghai Palace and Dainty are much better.  The locals love Luk Foo. Always crowded.

Not sure how Luk Foo got a decent reputation. but i wouldn't recommend it, both in Angeles, Metro Manila and other branches

Don't know how I missed this thread...

Great place with reasonable pricing, Good Food, and Good service.

Broccoli Beef is great, as is the Sweet & Sour Pork.

I feel ill just looking at the pic's. I don't think I found any good chinese restaurants in AC. you are better off sticking to Korean food, there are some pretty decent ones around.

If you are travelling to Manila, I would recommend Choi Palace in Eastwood (pretty damm good, almost on the same level as a good one in Hong Kong, friendly waiting staff, but a lil pricey)

There is another one in Moa (mall of asia), I can't remember the name (emperor palace?) anyway food is also great, but the last 2 times I was there, the service has let me down. I had to wait 10 mins for boiled rice? and had to request this 3 times? boiled rice? cmon

In my opinion Fortune and Shanghai Palace are way much better.
