Just wanted to give you guys a heads up don't stay Sheavens when in subic Was there last week there in no comunication with front desk,if you tell them problem they virtully say so what!!!When i stayed there the aircon blew hot air so after 1st night sleeping in a pool of sweat complained, they said thats as cold as it goes nothing we can do!! Would not transfer me to another room. The dunny seat was hanging off,a tv with no volume controll, ants everywhere and the thing that really pissed me off no WI FI. The restraunt has no Banana or mangoes!!! Paid 3000p a night and booked on Agoda Next time will stay Harleys.Ihave always stayed at Sheavens up till a year ago while under Aussie management fantastic!! now it is run by Shrilankans and mainly Korean Philippino guests.Well i supose their not as fussy as myself but for 3000p you would expect more.Stayed 2 of the 3 nights booked walked away from the remaining night. Not worth the stress.

I'm hearing ya. I ditched these pricks 6 months ago. It was a great hotel but not now. They lost my business and I used to go there 6 times a year. I told the front reception my complaints but they weren't interested. Now I'm not interested in them.
I switched to Arizona. The rooms are pretty crap but its a.well run hotel with fantastic staff. One of the waitresses there was such a smartass to me last time she had me laughing for hours. I love that kind of banter....

I stayed at Sheaven's in early November 2012 and it was not too bad. I spoke with one of the new management and they are refurbishing all the rooms as some of them are quite dated. I noticed the newly renovated rooms and they looked quite good as I was staying in one of their more dated rooms. Spoke with a gentleman I meet on a flight who stayed two weeks ago and mentioned he liked it. He stayed in one of the newer rooms.

In either case, sorry to hear about your bad experience as I'm sure when it's done it will be better.

The rooms are.fine although yes they are dated. Its the way the run the hotel. One thing about a hotel that is run by an american or a Australasian,in general they are better run. I was told a Pinoy had bought the place....
Anyway good luck to them. Maybe I will try again in a few years. The new pool looks fantastic.

Sheavens is also my favorite hotel in Subic.
Last time i stayed their whas october 2012.
On that moment their where painting the rooms, and building a new swimmingpool.
The food and drinks are way to expensive at Sheavens, and the Wifi sucks big time. But i like the rooms and the peacefull surroundings.
Although, Harleys with his rooms with seaview are an option.

That was my favourite hotel. However 2 stays there and some bad attitude and they can pretty much go to hell.
It took 2 days and 5 attempts just to get a remote for the tv. Doesn't sound much but what a pain in the ass. Asked a few times to get my room cleaned while I was out for 6 hrs and came home at 4 for a rest....nothing done. Then to top it all off on the last day there the 2 friends I had there were waiting for a breakfast that took an hour and a half. I'm a very patient person but come on. They ended up not eating anything because the taxi came.
To be honest even these things didn't bother me that much but the belligerence of the front receptionists did when I went to complain. I'm not a troublemaker but this hotel can f#$% off as far as I'm concerned....

Too bad to hear this. I really liked Sheavens when I stayed there. Sounds much different than the way I remember but it was different management.

Stayed at Sheaven's for 5 nights at the end of January 2013. I had stayed there on 3 different occasions in the past 2 years and each time the stay was great except for my trip in June 2012. New owners/management, alot of construction and the employees on edge because of the changes to the ownership. For me, Sheaven's is a great location: walking distance to the bar area and the beach and to Blue Rock where I think the food is outstanding but the rooms need some updating. I had reserved a deluxe room for my stay but when I checked in the room really did not fit what I needed. So down to the front desk I go with a request for a superior room. A superior room was available and about the same time as they were changing my reservation, the Sri Lankan manager walked by and asked if there was a problem. I said, "No problem - just upgrading my room and the staff is taking care of it". He asked me if I had stayed there before and I said I had. At that point he said because they were not full for the 5 days I was there they would upgrade me at no charge. Nice! The construction is still ongoing but it is now limited to some rooms on the first floor that they are converting to VIP rooms. The pool has been completed and is very nice. Wifi is now available in all the rooms and on the patio deck. The menu has been expanded to have practically every type of food imaginable. I would have breakfast there but would have dinner at Blue Rock or the BBQ joint on SBMA. Also the Harbor Point mall is completed and has quite a few choices for eating. They just opened the TGI Friday's and I ate there for dinner one night. Since my last trip, Sheaven's has improved and now I will stay there without hesitation.

Sheavens is crap and is only good for Koreans now. I booked for two nights and left after one night. I booked with Agoda and they gave me a room which over looked the back street and then the noise of the motor bikes and loud mouth Filapino men kept me awake.
So i went next door to Harleys and had no regrets .

What's up with all the hate towards Koreans? Never had any trouble with them in more than 50 visits. I have more problems with people from my own country acting like morons.
We come here because we are all on the same page. Lets forget about the categorizing people just because of their ethnic background.... rant over...carry on...

Waiting for the Southern cross bus at the Wild Orchid in Subic two Aussies were telling of the terrible comfort and overall service stying at Sheavens hotel, now they dont complain very much do they Aussies, they suffered uncomfortable beda and bad service on there 4 day stay , I was glad I choseTrader Ricks very comfortable I must say , I liked to the look and atmosphere of Harleys and Arizona as well, would stay at both ,

I think choosing a Subic hotel at a decent price that is nice enough to stay you have to ask to have a look around, just like I did, for your future visits .

Trip Advisor is pretty acurate to , Arizona good ist I think in Subic hotels great food , Harleys no one in Trip Advisor Inns and B @ B section, strange its in that section, because a nice hotel and has a great restaraunt and bar ,

I have just regretted staying at sheaven's superior room facing directly the poolside for 3500php
a night. The Wild Orchid resort or grand seas resort in subic charges 2500php for walk in rates only.
The difference of a superior room VS a deluxe room in sheaven's is a LCD TV and a toilet door
for 950php more but the rooms are of the same size. Won't be fooled a second time Sheavens!

Damn, I just booked there next month. Good thing I only paid for the first night though. I will have to check out Harley's. Do they have a pool? I like the pool at Sheaven's, and that's what hooked me, but I'll have to check out Arizona also.

If you're looking for a pool you really can't go past Wild Orchid which is just across the road from Sheavens. They have the best pool in the area and great food too.
My personal preference is Arizona but its more for.the way the place is run,the food, the location (closer to action) and the service. The rooms aren't that good but overall its great !

The former Aussie Owners of Sheavens still owns The Pub hotel located on National Highway. Just minutes away from Sheavens. The staff are relatives to the pinay wife of the Aussie. So there is some loyalty there and a sense of ownership pride.

The only problem I had with most hotels in Subic was the lack of Aircon maintenance. I am very sensitive to mildew and dust. So when I get a good wiff of the air quality coming out of the aircons, I can tell right away that been well taken care of or not.

I stayed at Sheaven's last March 2012 (one night) to attend a SOB party and it was just fine. It was a little pricey, but we walked in without a reservation. I'd definitely stay there again.

Great hotels hard to find in Subic especially on a budget .. well not this one..
Go straight to Waterfront hotel , you avoid the bad track trike ride along Balloy beach hotels and dodgy at night walking because the Waterfront your on the main road , second Waterfront has the best or after Wild Orchid second best by a whisker pool in Subic, now has restaraunt , pool table and bar all there for you in a realy spacious setting , pool is up there with Wild Orchid but rooms are 999 pesos for a remodelled standard room that is huge and really exeptionally good compared with many Subic hotel rooms , the delux is also a bargain, most rooms have new air con , new beds , nicely renovated its a Subic bargain hotel very nice ambiance for the price I kid you not , go look there web site ,imo Waterfront is so unlike the many overpriced dingy worn pangit Subic hotels on offer. .. cheers ..

Really? Waterfront sounds nice. OK, here's my review of Sheavens from my stay for a few days in March--it was awesome! The food was a little pricey, and the room was a little small, but it was great. The staff, bar, restaurant staff, and the lifeguard were all great! Considering all the rainy season promos were out of season, and all the standard rooms were the same price--having a nice pool and oceanfront location--it was great! I just wish I had booked in advance when I went back to Subic a couple of weeks later. I ended up paying double for a standard room at another place without a pool.

Love to stay there again. I'm glad to refute the bad reviews. I'm sure the place has progressed since then.

Personally i like Sheavens and always have. Been going there 6 years now. It is run by 2 x Sri Lankans yes and the only difference i can see is the old swimming pool is now filled in and they have a nicer larger swimming pool now.
The food is still good and the great views while eating are second to none IMHO out over Barretto.
I was there 4 weeks ago and no complaints...seemed business as usual to me. Only difference being the 2 x Sri Lankans that were obviously running the place seemed to be loitering around the hotel ALL day in their questionable tight shiny drain-pipe trousers (80s style)and 70's porn star shirts. :WinkGrin1:
