If you are heading to AC bring an umbrella, lots of rain. Got an empty block opposite us and so much water I am waiting for the ducks to arrive!

@  statusquo : (17 July 2018 - 03:14 AM)

Appetites and lifestyles are diverse, Bangkok can be cheaper than Pattaya if you know the scene. Even for local Thais, anything in a tourist area like Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai and others is more expensive.

@  Biggles : (17 July 2018 - 03:06 AM)

Your money will most likely go further in Pattaya, hotels and p4p is not as expensive as BKK.

@  samthedog : (16 July 2018 - 09:12 AM)

Seems to be difficult to find an urban destination in SEA with a good air quality

@  richie155 : (12 July 2018 - 04:29 PM)

I red there might be smog sometimes during winter months because of some farmers burning crap

@  Mr.V : (11 July 2018 - 10:08 PM)

I vote for Bangkok befor Pattaya...I filling that the last 90’s girls are more maganda then those you find in Ac and Pattaya

@  Evilfriar : (11 July 2018 - 08:32 PM)

What about places to change cash US dollars in Subic? Are there money exchange houses like in AC, or do you have to change in a bank? Thanks.

Yes today of the two places i checked yesterday the best was 49.7 for us $. It may be only for $100's I am not sure though. It's on the same side of street as Cheap charlies and not far from there I think east of it but not positive. As i recall the one opposite Pub hotel was a very bad rate. And another one same side and east of Ambon hotel and east(I am pretty sure) of it was 49.6.

There's an ATM just outside Sheavens. A brand new BPI machine. When using my visa card, both BPI and Metrobank don't charge me the above mentioned fee of 200 PHP.

I just used a BPI bank atm between Arizona and cheap charlies(yea that's quite a ways) on the same side of street as them.
I think it may not be too far from TGP pharmacy. I got p10,000 out of it last night no problem. If it's like the ones in Manila one can get up to p20,000 on international card. The atm at Arizona hotel was out of order and the one on street 164 at the grocery store there was not working either.

Strange, I thought the local banks had abolished interbank fees at ATMs. I have a Citibank account, and use my ATM all over the place and am never charged anything.

I'm assuming its been mentioned but just as a reminder, there is both a money changer and an ATM at icove. Just to the left of the entrance is a smaller outbuilding with a sliding door the ATM is outside.

Yes, they have 2. We have a Metrobank ATM in front of Paradise.
