@  BGC Dude : (25 May 2017 - 01:12 AM)

Martial Law, stopped me in my tracks last night,, travelling between Mati, and Davao , at 9pm stopped at a road side Army inspection setup, everybody off the bus, walk through the inspection area then back on the bus, only to get stuck behind a military convoy,,

@  willie50 : (24 May 2017 - 05:41 AM)

martial law has not affected san Francisco and prosperidad on Mindanao at this moment. usually a lot of soldiers n check points

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:58 PM)

@FurryFriend Start a topic and stop crowding the Shoutbox if you are going to go on about it.

@  Pukpuk : (23 May 2017 - 11:57 PM)

@FurryFriend So you have experienced Martial law have you? Well I have and I tell you it is slightly inconvenient but not to the stage you wouldn't go there. FFS you love a troll or two don't you.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:48 PM)

http://www.rappler.com/nation/170754-davao-city-lockdown-marawi-attack Davao City mayor "urged visitors to cancel their trips to Davao unless [its] very important...[and] said that if they don't want to be thoroughly inspected in multiple checkpoints, they should not come..." That doesn't sound like a rocking fun place for a week-long mongering trip.

@  FurryFriend : (23 May 2017 - 11:20 PM)

Martial law means so much more than a curfew. It's about having mobility restricted, roads closed, stores closed, flights cancelled, and possible loss of conveniences like cellphone, ATM or internet services. These are all hinderences to mongering. If there was martial law in Pampanga, you can bet AC bars will all be closed. Furthermore, martial law grants the military ability to perform civilian law enforcement. It will not be a fun moment in the Philippines when soldiers with very powerful weapons stops you, asks you questions, then demands to frisk you.

Hi! Ther is a very good page, in the city bank webpages. This is it: http://www.findmyciti.com if, you want, you can find the ATM,s and Branch's and Citigold Centre's all over the world. You have to write the city name and the program, show the all target. Use it, if you want. Have a nice day :)

There's an ATM just outside Sheavens. A brand new BPI machine. When using my visa card, both BPI and Metrobank don't charge me the above mentioned fee of 200 PHP.

I am assuming going to an ATM a couple of times a week is how most tourists do it? What kind of daily limit do these machines have. In other words how much are you allowed to withdraw at a time?

Its not how l do it. I change my money in AC and times it by the days l am there. If l run out for whatever reason then l use the BPI atm between Bar Baretto and By The Sea hotel. I think that one gives 15k but dont quote me on it although most atm's give 10k only....

Rack em up..

So you bring all the cash you think you will need and then change it into pesos at the money changer?  Do you just keep it all with you in a pocket or what?

There are 4 that I most commonly use with my visa Card and haven't has any issues except the "temporarily out of service".

Inside the Wild Orchid hotel on Baloy beach

In front of the Anbon hotel in the center of town

Across the street from Arizona and 100ft down on the left

and the new BPI next to Papagayo's.

BPI Bank in Subic by the Andoks Chicken allows P20,000 at one time with only a P200 fee! Most in Barrio Barretto allow P10K at a time with 2 withdrawals per day - each transaction is P200 so P20K will cost you P400 and for some reason the stateside banks always charge $5 for the ATM Fee not the P200 equivalent when rates change.

BPI ATM next door of Sheaven's resort in Baloy is the best choice if you stay at any hotel in baloy beach, as you can also withdraw 20k with a fee of 200.

This was good to know, maybe one should have exchange money before coming to subic then the first time, since you hardly want to spend a lot of time trying to finding a atm or somewhere to exchange currency. Maybe use the airport or exchange money in ac before one go to subic, if ac have more of that.

There is one outside of Dryden. In between Lolipop and Wetspot. Its Metrobank, 200php fee, if I remember correctly. I used it a number of times while there with no problem.

the BPI east of Arizona gave me 20K and only a 200 charge, same with BPI in AC and I didn't get hit for the $5 charge on my account at home. So I saved $15 over taking out 10K x 2 last year.
