Hi guys

Next May I will go for the first time to Cebu. I will stay in Cebu city.

Now I am searching for a hotel there. I travel alone so the hotel must be girlfriendly. I want to stay not to far from the 'action'
It must be a safe hotel and have WIFI and if possible also a a swimming pool. Price about P1000 - P1300.

can anybody advice me a good hotel?

I stayed at Summit Circle Hotel, was 2000P per night tho over a 3 night stay.

Wifi, good brekky, staff & security were great, shopping centre downstairs, Mango Bars just down the road ...

i think your budget is far too low for a hotel with a pool but i could be wrong.

try Mango hotel it is close to the action and has a roof top pool. Google them see what you get.

Have been to Cebu and I always hotel hop, stay at one for 3 or 4 nights, then move on to another. Its good to see different areas. If I like the hotel, I go back to it next trip, if I dont, then never to return. I always use trip advisor, it gives you all the facilities, location, price and reviews. Please remember, Mango is a hsort, cheap taxi ride from any hotel in Cebu City, u dont have to stay within walking distance of it. Also check past hotel reviews via this site, it has given me good info.

Except for the price, Mango Park Hotel is what you are seeking. The website says P1850 for the standard room. I checked Agoda and AsiaTravel. They are not much better. Agoda was P1826 in May and AsiaTravel was P1840 in May.

Metro Park has rooms as low as P800 and it has a swimming pool.

However, it is not next to any bikini bars but it is easy walking distance to Sunflower Disco, the discos at IT park and the casino at the Waterfront Hotel.

Otherwise, with no swimming pool, check these places in Cebu City, all P1000 or less per night. For some of them, you have to check the promo rate and compare on Agoda

Try the Hotel Pier Quatro...... 950p per night..... very cosy, quiet, friendly staff with security and gal friendly....japanese owned so I do not know how they retail to the westerners..... during my stay there the clientele were mostly asians...... although no swimming pool but it is located next to the pier (I have seen locals in the waters there)..... directly across the hotel is the Arena bar and some others within walking distance.

Since 1996, I have only stayed at the Cebu Century Hotel so can't help with what it is like to stay in the other hotels. However, I know the location.

It is easy walking distance to Mango Square where you will find several discos. It will be an easy walk to the bikini bars in that area such as Maverick (formerly the Silver Dollar). Many foreigners will catch a taxi but I personally would walk to the Mango Avenue bars from there.

If I was to stay in that same area, I believe I would stay at the Sampaguita Suites as it is much better located for everything.
