Sorry Kantutero,, But since it was suppose to have happened in the Philippines, I thought that someone living there might actually know more, It was reported back in 1920s by the Chicago Tribune, and floating around in different venues since. With the way the Tribune has been of late, I would trust the old stories more than what they "report" today. I had an uncle fight in the PI And at the battle of Bataan and some of the stories brought back are pretty chilling. Being cruel on both sides was not unusual. BBC seems to have a few tidbits that are very interesting to us, They sure gave MURDOCh a pain when he was caught misbehaving.
: (20 August 2017 - 03:30 AM) USS Indianopolis Just Located and photographed 18000 below the surface east of Samar. A little deep for wreck diving, but among the most important shipwrecks in Philippine waters. https://news.usni.or...-wreckage-found
The story about Black Jack Pershing is discredited by all historians. There was a Colonel who buried dead Moros with pigs but the legend about Shooting 49 with bullets dipped in pig blood and telling the 50th to spread the word is not true. http://www.chicagotr...0818-story.html
Buddah: I'll refrain from responding to you parrotting the demagogue's blaming the media for all his scandals and confine my respobse to the BBC. If you think it is balanced, read any article about the Israeli Palestinian dispute and you'll quickly realize BBC is just as biased against Israel as Al Manar (Hizbullah's propaganda arm)
Since it was suppose to have happened in the PI, does anyone know if General Pershing actually used bullets dipped in Pigs Blood to do away with some 50 Religious fanatic trouble makers?? Made the new here last couple of days
