@  Budhah : (28 July 2014 - 07:58 PM) Last time i was in BKK, could hear the bombs going off, Burned down a beautiful mall, and great old theater. Was hell getting out of town then, and red shirts everywhere. Poor people getting paid to sit around, does not bring out the best for a country
@  La Bob : (28 July 2014 - 07:55 PM) Charliedk- Thailand is not as good as it used to be either.
@  FurryFriend : (28 July 2014 - 07:43 PM) The Phils isn't for everyone...no shame in saying it's not for you
@  charliedk : (28 July 2014 - 07:06 PM) I've had many good times in the Philippines and a few bad ones..unfortunately I have no urge to return..I'm becoming a cranky old man and tired of the BS there..I love the women but think some of the attitude has changed..I'm leaving for Thailand in august on my 3 rd trip there..it's a better fit for me..I really hope things improve in the PI..it's not as good as it use to be ..then again this only my personal opinion..
@  AcPoker : (28 July 2014 - 05:15 PM) @Mark 101101 When have they done that? Never heard of a cop bothering a tourist.
@  Mark 101101 : (28 July 2014 - 03:50 PM) Are the Cops still bothering the tourists in the AC?
@  PhillySteak : (28 July 2014 - 02:29 PM) And they won't miss oversized shout box posts either LOL
@  grahamuk : (28 July 2014 - 12:47 PM) The more fucked up their country is...the better for us. doh !
@  Gibson 1959 : (28 July 2014 - 10:34 AM) @Kantutero.. Well if you don't like their system, their politics or their religion simple don't go there..I am pretty sure they wont miss you .
@  kantutero : (28 July 2014 - 10:10 AM) "The Filipino is worth fighting for". President Aquino's summation at the end of his SONA this afternoon. As screwed up as this country is, it would be in MUCH worse shape without PNOY, that is for sure. Traffic, rice and energy shortages etc are all exacerbated by the unsustainable growth rate, there simply are too many tiger cubs to be a true tiger economy. Look at other ASEAN countries and NONE of them has the insane growth rate. And the blame is very clear: The Vatican and its evil surrogate the Catholic Bishops Conference opf the Philippines. SWitzerland would be poor and messed up if it had a growth rate likle the PI. My one regret in his SONA and that he did not mention his singular accomp[lishment, the RH Bill, the first time in Philippine history that the Church's attempts at intimidation failed. VIVA PNOY!
@  marken : (28 July 2014 - 09:34 AM) TDCNINJA you are right
@  Kinky Kiwi : (28 July 2014 - 09:19 AM) Took around 3 hours to get from Makati to Fields on a friday night around 7:30pm leaving a few weeks back
@  TDCNINJA : (28 July 2014 - 09:10 AM) I think you mean the NLEX
@  marken : (28 July 2014 - 08:35 AM) and from there another 90 minutes to central hotel fields
@  marken : (28 July 2014 - 08:34 AM) i arrived on sunday last year november and it cost me 2 hours from NAIA to NEXP
@  Biggles : (28 July 2014 - 05:36 AM) Yes, if you are coming to Manila and heading to Angeles, try and make sure, you arrive and depart on a sunday as the traffic is much less. Weekdays it can take a couple of hours just to get from the airport to the start of the NLEX
@  Mark 101101 : (28 July 2014 - 01:52 AM) Are the Cops still bothering the tourists in AC?
@  mtbottel052901 : (27 July 2014 - 11:13 PM) Hello all hope things are good in the P.I.
@  kantutero : (27 July 2014 - 10:46 PM) @AC: surely it is because there is no longer a nonstop flight, so making a connection more than doubles trip time. Just fly to NAIA and bus/taxi it up the NLX. Sundays are best as traffic much lighter.
@  kantutero : (27 July 2014 - 10:26 PM) The biggest danger, like in most developing countries, is on the highways. Regarding crime, Manila is BY FAR the worst, Davao the best. Angeles somewhere in-between. As a foreign tourist in AC, you are very safe. Go into business there and you take your life into your hands.
