Only an idiot pays more than meter in Cebu as they have a taxi line so why would anyone. Manila is different at Term. 1 just check with your hotel the average rate then offer a bit more and you will be there before people with checked bags even get out of airport

@  mamser : (27 May 2015 - 02:17 PM)

haha lazybugger that's the funniest thing i heard all day

@  lazybugger : (27 May 2015 - 01:33 PM)

on the plus side, a trike terminal is about the only place in the country where you'll find an orderly line

@  lazybugger : (27 May 2015 - 01:32 PM)

the main problem with trikes is that there are way too many of them

@  bobbydown : (27 May 2015 - 09:38 AM)

make her walk lol ( in heels ) BUT my girl takes a trike and i walk

@  Mentalist : (27 May 2015 - 09:36 AM)

at least we dont have to wait when we have a LBFM hand in hand

@  FurryFriend : (27 May 2015 - 09:36 AM)

but if a guy spends a lot of time there or even lives there, it's stupid not riding it as the primary means of transport

@  FurryFriend : (27 May 2015 - 09:35 AM)

to be fair, jeepneys are hard to figure out...so i can see why someone new in a location or someone who won't stay long won't bother to learn how to ride them

@  bobbydown : (27 May 2015 - 09:33 AM)

taxi prices are perplexing,,10000 usd car ride costs 200p.. A 55000 php trike in ac and the drivers ask 100 p when you can take an 8 pesos jeep

@  loverboy181 : (27 May 2015 - 09:32 AM)

Maybe this is why those companies still taking bookings.

@  loverboy181 : (27 May 2015 - 09:32 AM)

FG - ok thanks for that. Will see if I can find it

@  FurryFriend : (27 May 2015 - 09:31 AM)

The metered rate from Cebu airport to downtown is about P255. So I may offer P280. But I'd bet some drivers will try for P600, and I'm sure many newbies would do it.

@  loverboy181 : (27 May 2015 - 09:29 AM)

Guy picked me up once. Wanted 150 and I said no way. Put the meter on. Cost me 170. Just laughed and so did he. Should of taken my offer Sir.

@  bobbydown : (27 May 2015 - 09:29 AM)

eg term 3 to pasay is 85php but becomes 150. naia to ermita is 160 metered they want 250..

@  bobbydown : (27 May 2015 - 09:27 AM)

the driver want a 50 % mark up,paying in advance also stops them repeatedly saying traffic traffic,,

@  FurryFriend : (27 May 2015 - 09:25 AM)

No driver will agree to a fixed rate if it's remotely equal or less than the metered rate.

@  FurryFriend : (27 May 2015 - 09:25 AM)

A fixed taxi rate is only great if you already know approx how much the fare would be...and you can agree to a tad more to make sure he also has an incentive to get there in reasonable time. But if you don't know where you're going, asking for a fixed rate will only guarantee you'll get ass raped.

@  bobbydown : (27 May 2015 - 09:24 AM)

furry,,i was once take around an island on a 90 min taxi ride, the trip should have taken 10 mins, i could even understand his language that he was taking me round and round,,i had no choice except get out in the middle of nowhere,

@  fieldsguy : (27 May 2015 - 09:24 AM)

Now called Fields walking street hotel

@  loverboy181 : (27 May 2015 - 09:23 AM)

Have they knocked the actual hotel to the ground? Guess it was a waste at only 5 rooms but private.
